What Is ServiceTitan?

ServiceTitan is the platform that larger residential service companies standardise on. It covers call booking, dispatch, the technician’s mobile experience, pricebook, invoicing, payroll inputs and reporting, and it is generally the most capable and most demanding option in the category.

What it is good at

Dispatch and reporting. The dispatch board and the scheduling logic are built for companies where the assignment problem is genuinely hard, and the reporting goes deeper than anything else contractors in these trades routinely see: technician performance, job profitability, conversion by call type.

The attribution deserves particular mention, because it answers the question most contractors cannot answer. Tie tracking numbers to campaigns and the system will tell you which marketing produced booked revenue rather than clicks — which is the only comparison worth making between a free channel like a Google Business Profile and a paid one like Local Services Ads.

What it demands

Maintenance. A pricebook that drifts, job types that nobody applies consistently, and technicians who do not complete their entries turn the reporting from an asset into a source of confident wrong answers. Companies that get value from it have somebody whose job includes keeping it clean.

It is also a substantial implementation. Anybody telling you otherwise has not done one.

Who should not buy it

Small shops. A two-to-five truck operation gets more from Housecall Pro or Jobber at a fraction of the cost and complexity, and keeps the option of moving up later. Buying the enterprise platform early is the most common expensive mistake in this category.

The bottom line

If you run enough trucks that dispatch is hard and you intend to actually read the reports, it is the strongest product in the category. If either half of that is not true, buy something smaller.
