Marietta, GA — 2027 Home Services Marketing Outlook

A historic square surrounded by every era of Cobb County housing at once.

1 min read
An older house under restoration in Marietta, GA, a skip, cut offcuts and stacked material along the path.

Marietta covers more housing eras than almost anywhere else in the metro. There are genuinely old houses near the square and in the historic districts, mid- century ranches through the middle of the city, and the large East Cobb subdivisions of the 1980s and 1990s further out.

Each of those buys different work and judges it differently. Near the square the standard is restoration and how the exterior reads from the street. In the ranch belt it is renovation and reconfiguration of houses that no longer suit how people live. In East Cobb it is replacement and upgrade at subdivision scale.

Naming which of those a job was in is the difference between a post that lands and one that scrolls past. Older work brings the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting program into play, and Georgia licenses residential and general contractors through boards administered by the Secretary of State.
