Stafford and Manahawkin, NJ — 2027 Home Services Marketing Outlook

The mainland side of the Long Beach Island causeway, and the staging ground for everything that happens on it.

1 min read
An ordinary suburban house with work under way in Stafford and Manahawkin, NJ, dust sheets over the porch and a scraped window frame.

Stafford Township — Manahawkin to most people — is the mainland gateway to Long Beach Island, and that shapes it twice over. It is a market in its own right, with housing running from older bay-side cottages to newer inland subdivisions and adult communities. And it is the staging ground for island work, which means a great many of the trades operating on LBI are based, supplied or parked here.

For a contractor working both, that is worth saying out loud. A homeowner on the island choosing between a company from Manahawkin and one from an hour away is not choosing on price.

Flood zone and elevation govern a large share of what is possible on the bay side, and the FEMA Flood Map Service Center is where a homeowner checks their own. Permits run through the township under the state code; the 13VH number belongs on the advertising.

See general contractors, roofers or Ocean County.
